HOW DO YOU WANT TO HELP?
Did You Know...
It costs three times more to raise a child with special needs?
In Alabama, foster parents only receive $14 per day to care for a child? And,they only receive 1/2 of the recommended amount to care for a child with special needs?
Each week our 14 horses help us serve about 100 children, with assistance from our professionally trained staff. Almost 70% of our students receive a scholarship to participate in our programs.
It is our honor and priviledge to serve active or inactive military personnel. We offer a customized experience for each individual or group.
We love helping others learn about equine assisted therapies. Come learn to better your horsemanship skills, become an instructor or start your own agency.

STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH
By Crystal and Brian
We prayed for years to have a child and Fisher was born June 17th at 32 weeks, with Down Syndrome and a hole in his heart. We've never looked back and have worked tirelessly to give him every chance to have the best start in life. At The Red Barn we were met with such warmth, understanding, and flexibility. Shortly after he began lessons we noticed he began to communicate more effectively. He's calmer after he rides. It's like a battery re-charge for him. At the barn, they see his potential and that gives us hope for his future.
Weekly riding lessons for children with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities and special circumstances, such as foster care, adoption, social delays, and grief.
Traditional day camps with art, music, outdoor education...and horses! Camps are inclusive for children with or without disabilities or special circumstances.
